Catherine and Isiah Leggett Math and Science Building

Project Details

The three-story Catherine and Isiah Leggett Math and Science Building at Montgomery College's Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus offers state-of-the-art learning spaces to equip students with skills for high-demand careers. This sustainable building includes advanced labs, a planetarium, a greenhouse, educational hubs, and flexible event spaces, replacing the college’s old Falcon Hall, Science South, and original greenhouse. The building's design by the Smith Group was thoughtfully shaped through community collaboration, ensuring a balanced vision that meets student needs and respects the neighborhood. For this project, Potomac Valley Brick supplied brick from Interstate Brick and colored mortar from Argos USA.
